O passado de TO DO é DID. Logo as perguntas feitas com DO passam para DID. O verbo principal continua no presente. O s de he, she e it não se aplica no passado.
Ex:

A negação de do not e don’t passam para did not e didn’t respectivamente.
Ex:
He did not go to the party Monday night.
We didn’t buy a car last month.
O verbo TO BE tem duas formas; were é usado para you, we, they. (ex. They were in the pub last night.) - negative weren’t
